i know we all have said that we "loved jehovah god" while we were witnesses, but do you think you really loved god?.
I thought I did but I realise now I was deluded.
I wish there was something out there but nothing will change my mind now. I have discovered the mind can play as many tricks on us as we can imagine so I would never trust any invisble, inactive or silent being again!
i know i m a simple mind, but if 3 jws study with a jw-child or someone else for an hour, they ll all report there own time, which will add up to 3 hours, right?
but the real netto time spent for the study is obviously 1 hour, no matter how many jws took part.
am i seeing a mathimatical fault?.
I so wish I had lied on my FS reports now.

i've been in a discussion with a few ex-jws about how to properly "move on" from being a jw.
they are saying that to truly "move on" it means you leave it totally behind you and stop dwelling/talking about being a jw.
I felt for a long while that I will know when I am completely healed because I will stop coming to this and similar sites and I truely looked forward to that day. I feel differently now.
I used to come here for purely my own healing but now I come also to help others. I recognise the emotions and turmoil of those just awakening from the mind control as being similar to mine. More than anything they need to know they are not alone and there is life after the borg.
I can believe WT mags probably would say move on and forget. They would love us to because who else is going to point out all their changing doctrines and LIES. Telling us to move on and forget would not be for our benfit that's for sure!

OMG you are so right!
I went on a Bible Study with a pioneer brother which included a meal. They started cooking about an hour after we arrived. We ate a very enjoyable and leisurely meal and then had the study. The Bible Study was 3 paragraphs of a brochure in their language but we had our own English copies. The whole visit lasted 3 hours but the study was only 15 mins.
I counted just the 15 minutes we studied but the pioneer brother counted the whole 3 hours and also the travelling time because it was a "foreign language" study outside of our own territory. He was allowed to because he was a pioneer but I was just a normal publisher and could have only counted the time if I had started my ministry by speaking to someone before getting in the car!
I completely missed the fact at the time. The time we were counting was the same time twice. I was too annoyed that my conscience wouldn't allow me to count the full 3 hours.
If I had been a pioneer we would have counted a total of 6 hours for a fifteen minute study! Does this seem an even remotely honest or accurate way of reporting time spent preaching!

medics said he required blood transfusion, but his mother refused to sanction the procedure.

That poor Mother has lost her son and in the midst of her grief has had to contend with a court case as well.
I wonder if the GB will pay the fine-not.

however, if we had only been allowed to count the time of "the actual conversations" we had with householders at the door i wonder what the real figure would be?.
i think mine would easily have been less than 1 hour per month.

What an incredible waste of time and money!
Exactly right Nugget. I witnessed disfellowshipping announcements 3 weeks on the trot when I first started attending meetings. I was horrified. I cried when I got home, I felt desperately sorry for the people being disfellowshipped and that third week when the 7th person was disfellowshipped I told my study conductor I thought it was wrong and cruel.
She explained it how nugget did, shunning was a kindness and for the best. The whole time I was a witness I never forgot my first experience of this practise and never fully accepted it. I always made a point of making eye contact or smiling at them or accidently bumping into them and having to say "sorry". I just wasn't capable of looking through them. Now I am glad I did although I felt guilty at the time.
the scare bells are ringing again in the congregations.
this past week, the field service group leader/commander/overlord/whatever made a pretty lengthy announcement that, going forward, the field service groups are going to be of the utmost importance as we wind down towards the end here.
while no indication on when this end might actually be, it was hinted that we might not always have access to the congregation proper and that the few families that are part of the fsg would have to become close knit that they might depend on one another when things get ugly.. i haven't read everything that has passed through the wbts' sphincter lately, but did i miss something?
So if the groups are to be tight knit at the end why did they get rid of the Book Study Group? I thought that at the time of the end the possibility of not being able to use the hall was high which was why we had them.
It sounds like apathy has set in at his group. Either that or he is bigging up his pathetic little job as Field Service Conductor.
i just noticed that the dr phil show today (on at 3 pm here) is titled " parents are confronted by their adult children over alleged childhood wrongs".. should be interesting!.

if the carrot and stick aspect of being jehovahs witnesses upset you how do you reclaim your desire for reward?
i'm assumng that you all agree with me that feeling rewarded is a basic human desire.
how much effort do you think we should put into trying to make our lives rewarding?
Not being judged by Ministerial Servants, Elders, Married Women, Pioneers and everyone else who thought they were superior.
